Dana Adobe Nipomo Amigos (DANA) is hosting their inaugural gala on Saturday, December 11 at DANA Adobe & Cultural Center. The gala is planned to be their primary dinner and live auction event with up to 100 guests in attendance. Proceeds will help provide educational programs, classes and resources to move DANA’s vision forward. Rudy Stowell, DANA’s Board President and Jim Glines, Auctioneer extraordinaire will be the master of ceremonies for the evening.
With the event theme “Life on the Rancho,” attendees will celebrate DANA’s mission to review their past and look forward to the future. “We are looking forward to showing our guests a great time and giving them inside knowledge about our organization, while raising money for DANA,” Krissy Arnal-Mougeotte, Fundraising & Volunteer Director. “With the help of our volunteer gala committee, we anticipate this event will be our #1 fundraiser each year.”
The event begins at 4pm with their silent auction followed by dinner provided by Cowboy Flavor, live and dessert auction. Lexi Carreno, Executive Director will be greeting guests to illuminate them about the organization’s future. “I am excited to see the gala bring together all the passionate guests, who are wanting to see our Rancho grow,” stated Lexi. “DANA’s board, staff and volunteers are striving to complete our goals on our master plan so we can reach new audiences and welcome new and old visitors to our Rancho.”
The theme is “Life on the Rancho”. The Dana Adobe is the historic structure and California landmark that has been restored and furnished to tell the story of the Rancho period from 1822 to 1846 in Alta California under Mexican rule. The event will be held inside the Cultural Center from 4 to 9 pm and includes dinner, silent auction, exhibits and music to raise funds for educational programs, classes and resources. Tickets are $85, tax-deductible and available at www.danaadobe.org/gala. The Wine History Project and the Dana Adobe are collaborating on the Mision Vineyard Heritage Project. We will be planting a vineyard of Mission Vines together in the winter of 2022.
