Adolph Siot was the first vintner in the area just west of the town of Templeton. The vineyards and winery that we know today as the Rotta Winery were established by Adolph Siot, who purchased the land in 1891 from the West Coast Land Company.

new documentary entitled The Amphora Project – Past Forward, 8,000 Years of Winemaking at a special screening at the Park Cinemas in Paso Robles on December 1, 2022.

It has been an exciting year in and around the Heritage Mission Vineyard. The stone wall surrounding the vineyard has been completed by Charles Boydston and his masonry company. We thank everyone for their donations to fund this project – over $60,000. We are also grateful to the neighboring farm for gifting the stone used on the wall. It is native to the Nipomo area; the colors running throughthe stones reflect the terroir and the glow of the Santa Lucia Mountains in the distance.
